A Hollywood film, Team America, depicting Kim Jong-il as an out of touch and ludicrous dictator has become one of the most talked about topics on Twitter in the wake of the North Korean leader’s death.

Team America: World Police, produced by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, was arguably responsible for introducing many people to the North Korean dictator for the first time.

The 2004 comedy film, which grossed more than $50 million (£32 million) worldwide at the box office, centres on “Team America,” an international police force that fights terrorism.

The 69 year-old, who died from a heart attack on a train on Saturday, was one of the main characters in the puppet movie. On Monday, the film enjoyed a somewhat unusual resurgence in popularity in the wake of his death.

It depicts Kim as an evil dictator attempting to conquer the world while openly mocking his limited English. He was featured as a singing dictator who was lonely – or “ronrey” – while living in his large opulent palace.

Stone, 40, and Parker, 42, also wrote the screenplay and supplied voices of many of the characters to the cult movie. Parker voiced Kim’s voice. Neither have commented about the death.

“When the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong II, joins a group of pacifist actors and actresses with the intention of using weapons of massive destruction, the Team America (team) tries to avoid the destruction of the world,” says its page on IMDb, the internet movie database.

In the hours after his death was announced on North Korean State Television on Monday, several references to the film started “trending” on Twitter, indicating that they were the most discussed terms on the micro-blogging site.

Among the popular phrases included “Team America”, “Hans Brix” – in reference to another character, the former UN Weapons Inspector Hans Blix, who was said by Jong-il that he was "breaking my ----s" – and “So Ronery”.

It was one of many good natured references in an otherwise serious news story. It has been reported that the dictator was a well-known film buff, reportedly owning between 10,000 and 20,000 DVDs of all genres.

In a 2005 review when it was released on DVD, The Daily Telegraph’s Benjamin Secher, described the film as “good, unclean fun”. Fans, he added, do not “have to be a smutty schoolboy to fall for the puerile charms of Team America”.

After the painful unravelling of her marriage to serial cheater Jesse James, the last person you'd expect Sandra Bullock to want around the house is a budding ladies' man.

But she told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show yesterday that she's got just that, happily though, it's in the tiny, adorable form of her 23-month-old son, Louis.

The 47-year-old Academy Award winner, who was resplendent in royal blue at the Burbank studios in California, told Leno that Louis is 'probably the best baby in the world, but I think every parent says that.'

Then she added that he is a 'flirt,' Bullock before adding that the little one 'appreciates the fairer sex.'

'He doesn't flirt with me like that, and someone told me that's probably a good thing,' she joked.

'He's got a look where he just cuts the eyes at the ladies, and I'm like, 'I'm so sorry! I don't know what's happening.''

Bullock also revealed that she's been looking to her late mother, German opera singer, Helga Meyer, for a parenting model.

'He doesn't get it yet but I think next year he'll get it and demand things.'

As for Bullock, she told Leno that she must break the law to get what she wants for Christmas.

Philippa Charlotte Middleton is the second child of party planners Michael and Carole Middleton, born on September 6, 1983, a year after her older sister and four years before her brother. When Mission: Impossible 3 hit theaters in in 2006, it was the beginning of what looked like the end of Tom Cruise‘s career. Cruise had been acting “erratic” over the past few months. He had famously jumped on Oprah Winfrey‘s couch because of his enthusiasm over his new relationship with Katie Holmes. He had a very public fight with Brooke Shields over the use of antidepressants and was more outspoken than every about Scientology.

Viacom head Sumner Redstone blamed Cruise’s behavior on the lackluster box office performance of Mission: Impossible 3 and severed Paramount’s ties with Cruise.

Since then Cruise’s movies have underperformed at the box office. Mission: Impossible 3 actually ended up earning $400 million at the box office. The closest he’s come to that in the past five years is last year’s Knight & Day which brought in $262 million globally.

With Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol thought Cruise is proving that it’s never wise to count the movie star completely out. Paramount (now on good terms with Cruise again) rolled out the film last week in limited (mostly IMAX) release and the movie brought in a healthy $15 million at the box office. That made the film the highest-grossing limited release debut ever beating out Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (for real).

This weekend the film will expand 3,400 theater and Exhibitor Relations expects it will top the five-day holiday box office with $37 million. That might not sound like a lot (consider the recent Harry Potter movie opened to $170 million over three days), but it’s enough to put the movie on track for healthy earnings. The film outbuzzed the Sherlock Holmes sequel last week and it’s getting great reviews. Mission: Impossible 4 earns a 97 out of 100 on Rotten Tomatoes.

Cruise has been playing the ultimate movie star promoting the movie. Recent tabloid photos show Cruise ice skating with his daughter, Suri. There have been no Scientology scandals — only glamorous movie stars at exotic locations like Mumbai and Dubai.

"They are two great teams and Neymar would be proud to sign for either of them," he revealed.

"Barcelona would be a special option but there is no agreement."

And the forward's father also admitted that it had been a privilege for his son to play against the European champions, despite ending up on the losing side in Japan on Sunday.

"Barca were clearly superior and it was a privilege for Neymar to be able to face a team that plays such wonderful football," he continued.

"Neymar must know how to win and how to lose; he saw an interview with Pep Guardiola after the final in which he said that training consists of losing in order to then go on and win.

"Neymar understood that victories are not built solely on other victories and we spoke about that after the game."

The young prodigy also greeted Barca president Sandro Rosell after the match, although there was no dialogue concerning a possible move in future, his father revealed.

"Neymar met Rosell on the pitch during the celebrations and they congratulated each other with mutual respect, but there was no more than that," he insisted.

TV Line revealed late Monday that the temperamental teen star, who played Jenny Humphrey during the first four seasons of the CW young adult soap opera, will not return as a series regular during the fifth season. This follows her vastly reduced role in the past season as she took time off to work on her music career with The Pretty Reckless and create controversy.

In November, it was reported that she had been suspended from the show; CW countered that she was a regular, with a reduced role because of "creative reasons."

She took to her Twitter page late last week to talk `bout self love and the dangers of hating your shape after some critics sneered that she had lost control of her body.

'By calling girls like me fat, this is what you're doing to other people,' she wrote to her there million followers on November 11.

The former Hannah Montana star then proceeded to post a photograph of a woman so emaciated that her ribs were clearly visible.

Miley added powerfully: 'I love MYSELF & If you could say the same you wouldn't be sitting on your computer trying to hurt others.'

She also posted a photograph of curvaceous blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe with the caption: 'Proof that you can be adored by thousands of men even when your thighs touch.'

One of the most famous cinematic hairstyles of all time, the wig worn by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film Cleopatra, has emerged for auction.

Made of dark brown human hair, the wig (pictured left) is styled in a long bob with bangs and braids adorned with gold-coloured beads and coils. Taylor wore it when her character tried to convince Caesar (Rex Harrison) to accept supreme control of the empire.

After filming, the wig was kept by its British wigmaker, Stanley Hall, who then passed it on to a Hollywood makeup artist. It is now being sold by Heritage Auctions of Dallas, Texas, and is set to fetch around $11,000 (£,7000).

Margaret Barrett of Heritage Auctions said: "Cleopatra was filmed in Italy and Stanley Hall, who was an international wigmaker to the stars, made all the wigs for it. Elizabeth Taylor's character had tens of different hairstyles in the film and there were three wigs for each style.

"About 30 years ago Stanley Hall gave the vendor about 40 or 45 wigs from the film. Of all the wigs used in Cleopatra this must be the most iconic. If you think of the movie and Elizabeth Taylor in it you can see her in this wig.

"It is made of real human hair and has gold beads woven into it. It looks very authentic and is a real quality wig.

"Elizabeth Taylor has only recently passed away and she was one of the last great movie stars and there is a lot of interest in memorabilia related to her at the moment," she added.

Cleopatra was the most expensive film of its day, with lavish sets and costumes. Taylor went on to twice marry another of the film's stars, Richard Burton (Mark Antony).

Carey Mulligan says Steve McQueen was her “biggest cheerleader” on the set of Shame.

The British actress stars as wayward Sissy in the McQueen directed-erotic drama, alongside Michael Fassbender.

The risqué film follows Brandon - played by Michael - a lonely sex addict in New York. His life is turned upside down when younger sister Sissy moves into his apartment.

Carey was thrilled to take on the challenging role, and was constantly inspired by filmmaker McQueen.

“I was so excited to play [the part of Sissy], and I was so liberating to play someone like that. She just doesn’t have any boundaries. She doesn’t really respect social conventions so it was fun. She just sort of spirals. Steve had a way of psyching me up every day. He was our biggest cheerleader when we were on set. We’d do a few takes and he’d come in and he’d proclaim us to be the best actors in the world,” she smiled in an interview with Stylist.

“And then he just asked us to be better. He’s just wonderful.”

Carey also impressed by the quality of scriptwriting.

The 26-year-old star was compelled to accept the role after feeling overwhelmed by the story.

“I thought it was a really beautifully written script. I don’t think I could have predicted how the film was going to turn out. I felt the same way when I watched it. I was completely taken aback and couldn’t talk for ten minutes afterwards, because I couldn’t process it,” she revealed.

“For me, when I read it, I thought this is a study of a man who is so interesting, especially with his addiction. It made people uncomfortable and I thought that was really brave. And then the character that I was playing was so extreme, and so far removed from anything I’d done before, and I wanted to give that a go, really.”

Of course, if she flops in the film, she could be setting herself up for an even worse time in the press.

You have to root for Lindsay Lohan. The one-time child star had such a promising future, and it is awful that she has let herself and her career spiral out of control. She was on a trip to Hawaii, and her purse was stolen. It seems like LiLo just can't catch a break. The good news is that her judge is actually happy with her right now, so perhaps her legal troubles will soon be over. Also, the nude Playboy photos have sparked renewed interest, so maybe that will end up jump starting her obviously stalled career.

Salma Valgarma Hayek Jiménez de Pinault (born September 2, 1966) is a Mexican film actress, director and producer. She received an Oscar Nomination for Best Actress for her role as Frida Kahlo in the film Frida.

Widely considered to be the first Mexican actress to become a Hollywood movie star since Dolores_Del_Rio, Salma Hayek is known for bringing a fiery presence and striking, dark-eyed beauty to the screen. A soap star in her native Mexico, Hayek risked her entire career to come to L.A., where she struggled to be taken seriously. The_Faculty (1998), a teen thriller that cast Hayek as a teacher who turns into an alien, was an exception, and Kevin_Smith's Dogma (1999), which featured her as a celestial muse, was fairly successful with critics and audiences. Also in 1999, Hayek had a starring role in what was to be her biggest film to date, Barry_Sonnenfeld's Wild_Wild_West, which also starred Will_Smith and Kevin_Kline. Unfortunately for all involved, the film was a turkey. In 2000, Hayek could be seen in smaller, edgier ventures, including the independent comedy Chain of Fools, in which she played a centerfold-turned- cop, and Mike_Figgis' experimental Time_Code, which cast her as Jeanne_Tripplehorn's lover.
